I am lucky to have a long term client in Dakota Builders, Inc., a professional remodeling firm.
Dakota Report (pdf), a newsletter I produce for them, has won awards.
Maybe that's because it is owned by an award-winning remodeler, Gregory Miedema, CGR, CGB, CAPS, who has been named "Remodeler of the Year" by Southern Arizona Home Builders Association five times and he is extremely active on the national level.
Action people do not find it easy to sit down and write about their ideas. That's where I come in. My main job is listening.
Another client, Jane Hendrickson, taught art in Seattle schools for 25 years and especially liked helping troubled teenagers. She's an accomplished educator (Ph.D.) and award-winning clay artist, but can't write a coherent paragraph. She described her classroom technique called "Mytho-Ceramics" to me, and I would listen, go write, and bring it back asking "Is this what you meant?" She is now circulating the preview edition of her "Teacher's Guide to Mytho-Ceramics™."
And Laurel Inman, a Life Coach with three children, called on me to shape up her prose before publishing
Fire Your Diet: Laurel Inman's Guide to Intentional Eating.
